Peace..................
Reply:C) was a place of conservatism, inheritance and continuity
Reply:Without knowing the period to which you are referring (i.e., what period of western history is being interpreted by said historians), I would guess the answer is D. The term "stagnation" does not easily apply to the west; if anything, the west has been known for changing too often and too quickly (when compared to other regions of the world).
Reply:A or E, because I was born after 1950. I've not heard either before.
Reply:It seems that this question is referring directly to the historians cited in your textbook. Without knowing the text or historians quoted, it's impossible to say what they have or have not offered as an interpretation. Considering their was little stagnation in the West, as it was constantly changing as it became more settled, I would have to say D...but then again, that's just based on the history books I've read, not necessarily the one you're reading.
Reply:Who knows what historians will say; their own interpretations will always obtrude. However, what I would say fits least is D the west was a land of terrorism, ignorance, and stagnation...there may have been some ignorance and even stagnation in some individual cases but TERRORISM hardly.
